  6.   This is the readme file for the Fallout Win95 interactive demo.  If you
  7. need more help or information, contact Interplay Productions (see below
  8. for Customer Service information).

  10.      Fallout is rated Mature by the ESRB.  It contains violence, blood,
  11.    language and drug use.  It is not recommended for children under the
  12.    age of 17.

  48.   At this time, there is no DOS version of the demo.

  50.   A Macintosh version of the demo is also available separately
  51. from the Fallout shelter at www.interplay.com/fallout.

  53. Instructions
  54. ------------
  55.  
  56.   To install the Fallout interactive demo, use WinZip or PKunzip 2.04g to
  57. decompress the files to a directory on your hard drive (FALLDEMO works well).
  58. If you use PKunzip 2.04g, you must use the "-d" option to create the proper
  59. subdirectories.  If you use WinZip, the Use Directory Names box must be
  60. clicked on.  All of the Fallout demo files must be in the same directory.

  62.   Play instructions are in the manual.  Double-click on the MANUAL.DOC file
  63. to open it.  You must have a version of Wordpad or Microsoft Word installed
  64. to view the manual.  For best results, you will need the fonts Impact and
  65. Times New Roman.

  70.   This is an interactive demo of the beta version of Fallout.  There are
  71. missing and non-implemented features.  Interplay Productions reserves the
  72. right to make changed between this demo and the final product.  For more
  73. details, refer to the MANUAL.DOC.

  75. Known Problems
  76. --------------

  78.  * This version of the Win95 demo does not work with original SoundBlaster
  79. 1.5, 2.0 and SoundBlaster Pro cards.  The demo will run, but not play sound.
  80. This is a known bug, related to problems with DirectX.  At this time, there
  81. is no workaround or fix.
  82.  * The demo volume preference does not function.  This will be fixed.
  83.  * On some systems, the demo will not function with Win95 Virtual Memory
  84. turned off.  We are investigating.
  85.  * The Review and Tell Me About buttons on the dialogue screen do not
  86. function in this demo.  There is no feedback that they are not functioning.
